Heath is primed for growth. We offer local and county incentives combined with unmatched readiness. We not only possess many shovel-ready sites, but we also have a business-friendly government and extensive infrastructure that enables development to move–quickly.

It’s the People
We hear that all the time. A small town with caring citizens, Heath is a family-friendly place. From little league to large events, volunteerism is at the heart of the community.

It’s the Lifestyle
Beautiful parks, picnic areas, walking trails, a top notch community water park, and hundreds of acres of preserved green space—all hallmarks of Heath. In addition, restaurants, retail, and cultural opportunities abound.

It’s the Workforce
With a high-performance, skilled labor force in Licking County, Heath businesses have a tremendous pool from which to find talent. Outstanding local higher education and training facilities provide highly qualified graduates.

It’s the Place
Our central Ohio location provides unbeatable multi-modal market access. Situated along State Route 79, Heath is 5 miles from I-70 and 3 miles from four-lane State Route 16. Nearby rail, air, and telecommunications capabilities prime the area for business.

It’s the Bottom Line
Local and county incentive programs combine with pro-business policies to make Heath an attractive home for large and small companies alike. A Community Reinvestment Area, an Enterprise Zone, and Foreign Trade Zone #138 are signatures of our community’s aggressive approach to economic development.

SR79 Resurfacing Project
Tenative Schedule

The resurfacing of SR 79 from Andover Road to Hebron is tentatively scheduled to begin June 25th, 2018.  Traveling motorists can expect pavement repair work to be performed in marked areas as well as the removal of the Reflective Pavement Markers along the corridor prior to the roadway surface being removed.  A new intermediate course will be applied to the milled surface followed by signal detector loops being replaced at intersections and then a new surface course of asphalt.  All intersections will be tied into the newly laid asphalt upon completion of resurfacing the main thoroughfare.  Catch basins, manholes, and valve boxes will then be adjusted to grade and concreted.  The last of the proposed work will include striping the new asphalt and finishing up/cleaning up some of the proposed work along the corridor.  The entire project is expected to be wrapped up by November 1st, 2018.  Please note that while the proposed work will occur in the order described above, the actual schedule is fluid and more than likely will change due to outside factors that are out of the contractors control (i.e. weather).  The City will do its best to keep you updated as the project evolves.  In the meantime, pay attention to the posted signage and drive safely.
